The Oakland Aviation Museum is an extraordinary venue that will make a lasting impression on your guests. Hold your event in one of America's oldest  airplane hangars and enjoy rare aircraft and fascinating aviation exhibits. The hangar is a flexible, unique space with spectacular architecture and a hip, industrial feel. An adjacent outdoor area with vintage military jets is also available.

Oakland Aviation Museum has space that is 4,012 square feet with a 13' door height that has a maximum capacity 300 people

Hangar events during open hours of from 10:00am to 4:00pm Wed - Sun must be  minimum of 2 hour min. Buy-out is available for an additional fee for exclusively use the Museum. Pro-rated time to set-up prior to the event (scheduled in advance) is also available. For pricing, fill out our Venue Rental Form and we will send you an estimate of charges.

Hangar event during non-business hours of 4:00pm to 10:00pm Wed - Sun, or any time Mon or Tues requires a 2 hour minimum and has a 400 person maximum capacity. Buy-out is available for an additional fee for exclusive use of the Museum. Pro-rated time to set-up prior to the event (scheduled in advance) is also available. For pricing, fill out the Venue Rental Form and we will send you an estimate of charges.

Included in the basic rental fee is access to museum exhibits, restroom facilities, bar counter and kitchen facilities for warming up food only, NO cooking allowed.

Additional services/rental items include, Flying boat opening and viewing; docent tours, parking attendants, man lift including operator, small stage and a limited stock of banquet tables, chairs, 4 patio heaters available.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Food is not allowed in the hangar outside the event area and drinks are not allowed in any exhibit room.

Hangar events during business hours (10:00am to 4:00pm) - The public has access to all areas of the Museum during open hours.

​

Licensed Caterer is required for all events.

​

Parking attendant is required for all events over 80 guests.

​

Client to remove all trash, recycling and compost.

​

All events require a 2 million dollar general liability certificate of insurance with the museum

listed as the additional named insured for the date and time of the event.
