Oakland Aviation Museum, as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit institution, depends on the generosity of our visitors, supporters and sponsors,
to which we extend our greatest appreciation.
The very best way to assist the museum is to visit the museum yourself, bring your friends
and tell others.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any non-profit organization and Oakland Aviation Museum
is no exception.

We have lot's of opportunities to volunteer on a weekly or monthly basis or possibly at special events hosted throughout the year. Check our Volunteer Page for additional information and how you can become an important OAM Team Member.
While we would like to be able to do all that we do with just a few people, it takes a group of volunteers to make things happen. When's the last time you got to drive an airplane?

Board elections are held annually at the Membership Meeting in October. All members may nominate people to the Board of Trustees at any time during the year.
All nominations are put before our Board of Trustees for review and further action. Should the Board feel the nominee would be a good fit and bring valuable skills to the Board, they will contact the nominee for interviews and additional processing.
All nominees must be willing to submit a resume to be reviewed by the Board of Trustees prior to approval for appointment or election.
